Junior Advisor

We are an Independent Registered Investment Advisory Firm providing investment advice for over twenty-seven years locally in the four corners area.  We are seeking a full-time junior investment advisor. This position has the opportunity of advancement to become a  staff Registered Investment Advisor in our growing organization.

We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic, organized professional.  Must be a dedicated team player with skills in math, data management, professional correspondence and client relationship development.  

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to evaluate and act on decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Process trade transactions in accounts in an active management environment
  • Manage re-balancing of client portfolios
  • Review and implementation of financial planning needs of clients
  • Actively contribute to the overall growth of the firm through marketing activity
  • Contribute to portfolio management decisions customized for the client
  • Contribute to tasks related to development of client relationships

Education:  College level classes required with a bachelor’s degree preferred.  Advancement to full time investment advisor professional level will require completion of a bachelor’s degree and achievement of a Certified Financial Planner Certificate (CFP).  Ability to pass Series 65/66 examine within 60 days of employment if not already held.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Follow direction from more experienced financial advisors and provide ongoing support
  • Participate in portfolio management development meetings and execute transactions where directed
  • Participate in client meetings and develop notes for action items
  • Staying informed on and continuously improve on knowledge in all areas impacting portfolio management and the financial planning needs of our clients
  • Process client inquiries, handle telephone calls and complete assigned CRM tasks
  • Monitor incoming email, responding where appropriate
  • Miscellaneous projects and tasks

Skills and Qualifications needed:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in Outlook and CRM systems
  • High level of IT knowledge and use of various software programs
  • Excellent business communication skills; both verbal and written
  • Strong focus and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a high energy office setting
